How Does the REDMAGIC 10 Pro’s Performance Compare to the REDMAGIC 10S Pro?
Our REDMAGIC 10 Pro was released at the end of last year and made considerable waves in the industry. Now, the latest REDMAGIC 10S Pro release has been announced, and our fans are probably wondering how the two powerhouses compare against one another when they have such a similar set of specs. The 10 Pro and 10S Pro both sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and RedCore R3; however, the 10S Pro features the Leading Version of the 8 Elite chip along with our upgraded RedCore R3 Pro for blazing speed. This gives the 10S Pro a 30% CPU performance enhancement with a 4.47 GHz CPU compared to the 10 Pro’s 4.23 GHz.
The 10S Pro’s performance has already been put to the test by several reviewers and have yielded similar results. According to tests on both the phones done by GSMArena, the 10S Pro easily edges out ahead of the 10 Pro in the Geekbench single-threaded test and is “ahead of a pack of Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 powered phones,” as well when the Prime CPU cores are clocked higher. The tests also found that the GPU overclock has a bigger impact for gaming and “helped the 10S Pro open up a lead on competing devices in the Wild Life Extreme benchmark.” In conclusion, they found that this would translate to higher FPS in games that weren’t hitting the refresh rate cap and more stable gameplay in games that were.
CNET also put the performance of the 10S Pro to the test and found that the phone pulled one of the highest scores they had ever seen. Their review saw that the 10S Pro heartily overtook our 10 Pro and the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro - going a step further to beat the $1,300 Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra as well, while costing hundreds of dollars less.

How Has the REDMAGIC ICE-X Cooling System Been Upgraded?
Our REDMAGIC 10S Pro has gone through a world of upgrades to offer an innovative gaming smartphone experience. The enhanced 10-layer ICE-X Cooling System is one of those impressive feats. Within this new system, we’ve repositioned the Liquid Metal 2.0 that has been used to keep the device cool alongside the 12,000 mm² Vapor Chamber and high-speed fan. To combat the lower viscosity of the liquid metal, we’ve engineered a way to process the liquid metal into a solid-state piece. This has allowed us to move it directly over the chip in the 10S Pro, offering 30% more coverage and reducing the CPU temperature by up to 5°C when compared to the 10 Pro. This ultimately improves thermal performance and gaming stability.
Tech Advisor reviewed the 10S Pro and commented that while the 10 Pro was the first of our phones to use liquid metal cooling, the new cooling system in the 10S Pro adjusts the placement so that the cooling area is now directly over the CPU. According to them, this repositioning seems to help, as the device proved “reliable and performed well even through heavy gaming sessions.”
In his review of the phone, Tech Nick was also impressed by the 10S Pro’s enhanced cooling capacity and lauded the phone’s larger vapor chamber and the improved and repositioned liquid metal 2.0 which elevates thermal conductivity and seamlessly dropped CPU temperatures.

How Do You Download the Global ROM for Your REDMAGIC Device?
Whenever you complete any form of download or update to your phone’s software or system, please ensure that your device is charged 50% or higher, and ensure that all your data has been properly backed up.
First, you must ensure that your device is not already updated by heading to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'About phone' and checking the 'Build number'. Please be extremely cautious during the process and ensure that you are taking the right steps. Be sure to download the correct software for your device, as attempting to flash your device with the wrong software will void your warranty.
Please note that if your REDMAGIC device was purchased from a third-party site, we cannot provide additional support should your device run into issues. The REDMAGIC warranty policy covers devices bought from our official store only.
For Global ROM downloads:
- Backup all your data before attempting to manually install the global ROM, as the process will require a complete wipe of the device. This is because many of the apps built into the Chinese model will not be compatible with the global ROM.
- Download the software build for your device, depending on your location, using the link here.
- Plug your phone into your computer and copy the downloaded .zip to your phone’s root storage folder. This is the main folder once your device is connected to the computer. If you’re using a Mac, you can install Android File Transfer for this operation.
- After the .zip file is copied to your phone’s root folder, go to 'Settings' > 'System update', tap the 'Settings icon' (the three dots) in the top right corner, choose 'Local update', find the .zip file and tap on 'Install now' button to confirm.
- After the REDMAGIC device boots, the software will be usable. However, should any issues occur, we recommend doing a full wipe of the device – either through a full reset in your settings or via recovery (the best option).
To do a full wipe, please follow these additional steps:

Once the REDMAGIC device has booted after the initial software update, turn the device off, and then hold down both the volume up button and the power button. This will bring you to recovery mode.

Choose your preferred language with the volume keys and select with the power key.

Go to 'Wipe data’ and select 'Wipe user data'.

The phone will reboot, and you will need to set up with your Google account info.

What Should I Do if My Parcel Was Damaged upon Delivery?
If you notice that your REDMAGIC parcel is damaged or faulty in any way when you sign for it, please ask the courier to add a remark about it on the shipping label. Keep the original packaging and send an email to support@redmagic.gg as soon as possible. Be sure to include pictures of the damage and your order number in your message. Once we obtain all of the relevant information, we will try to process a return and a new order within 5 business days.
