REDMAGIC 8S Pro - The Leading Version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version Sets the REDMAGIC 8S Pro Apart REDMAGIC 8S Pro - The Leading Version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

It’s been more than half a year since we dropped the REDMAGIC 8 Pro and it’s done a pretty good job at battling it out for the title of best gaming smartphone. The feedback and reviews from our patrons have been exactly the type of ante we needed to journey forward on our mission to Up Your Game. The next insert in the REDMAGIC 8 series is ready for the game, with an appearance and performance that does put the S in Standout.

More than its elegant and futuristic design, the greatest update to the REDMAGIC 8S Pro is the uniquely engineered Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which is unlike any other that’s currently available on the market. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version was originally engineered for Samsung Galaxy devices, and Android Authority reports that the REDMAGIC 8S Pro will be the first non-Samsung phone to debut the overclocked version of the processor. Once it’s released, you can expect to find it in other Android devices like the iQOO 11s and the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.

This blog will look at the small differences that set the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset apart, and we’ll also explore how you can expect it to perform once it is incorporated into our performance-focused hardware.

A Closer Look at Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2

REDMAGIC 8S Pro - The Leading Version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

This chipset is known by more than one name including Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Overclocked, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version. Regardless of the title, what’s important is the way it performs. The processor is slightly more powerful and boasts a 3.36 GHz CPU clock speed, a significant boost from the 3.2 GHz of the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that’s found in the REDMAGIC 8 Pro. It also has an improved GPU which jumps from 680 MHz to 719 MHz.

This slight difference in numbers may not mean much when you’re using the phone for regular daily activities but they’ll certainly make a difference in a competitive gaming landscape. Additionally, the increase in performance holds even greater potential to make the device overheat faster after extended periods of use.

It’s interesting to note that the folks at Android Authority believe that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy may have been a tad too much power for Samsung to handle and that the REDMAGIC cooling mechanism is exactly the type of support you need to get the most out of this processor.

How REDMAGIC Performs with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version

REDMAGIC 8S Pro - The Leading Version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

GizmoChina shares the sentiment that the dedicated cooling mechanism of the REDMAGIC 8S Pro gives it a superior advantage over any other device that’ll run on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset, especially Samsung. Let’s explore the design differences that’ll ensure the REDMAGIC 8S Pro can fully utilize the chip’s potential.

A Robust Battery

The 6000 mAh battery is the energy center for the gaming machine, powering the screen, the chipset, the cooling mechanism, and everything in between. It delivers the same reliable power and fast charge ability that’s found in the REDMAGIC 8 Pro, which is up to 8.28 hours with a single charge.

Improved Temperature Control

After observing how the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 performed in its initial release, and considering some improvements that could be made to the existing REDMAGIC 8 series cooling mechanism, we’ve adjusted the cooling mechanism that’s taken it to a whole new level.

REDMAGIC 8S Pro Sets You Apart

The REDMAGIC 8 Pro is one of the best gaming smartphones currently available in the market, with the fastest shoulder triggers in the industry, an incredible multi-finger touch sampling rate, and a cooling mechanism that sets it apart. Well, the REDMAGIC 8S Pro stands out even next to the best.
